As a part-time sex blogger and full time bibliophile, few things excite me like a book about sex. Put before me an erotic anthology like Spanked and I purr like a kitten. Show me a book of quality erotic photography and I will salivate over it.
I received Sex- Take A Walk On The Wild Side and I was enthralled. The book is practically coffee table quality if you don’t have small children or uptight family members in your house on a regular basis. The cover is made of sturdy paper and the inside pages are high quality. You just have to love quality book assembly! (As a side note, I have to mention that this is not a recent book. The copyright is 2002.)
Inside, however, is where the allure of this book truly shines through. With sections titled Dressing For Pleasure, Domination and Discipline, Bondage Games, and Extreme Measures you are sure to find something that appeals to you. I like it all, so I started at the beginning and worked my way towards the end.
One of the first photos I came to, as well as one of the best in the book, is a photo of Rachel Weisz. An amazing actress who also happens to be incredibly photogenic was dressed in some sort of latex or pvc type of catsuit and photographed by Bob Carlos Clarke. It was simple but breathtaking.
There’s something for everyone in this book. Leather? Check. PVC? Check. Piercings, tatts, and other body modifications? Check. Roller skates? Check. All encompassing and laid out perfectly in one book.
Something else that I really liked about this book were the things that I’d never seen before. A woman dressed in what looked like a full body condom. A woman in a zippable rubber ball of some sort. Nurses, nuns, angels, and the divine Dita Von Teese were all included!
Whether you want it to wank or you want it because you love the artistry that is erotic photography I encourage you to get a copy for yourself. Or for your boyfriend. Maybe even one for that cute goth girl in your office as a way to break the ice.

Hi! I just wanted to say hi (oops, done that already) and say how much I enjoyed your blog! I am very new to this and I don’t have the confidence to a) write about myself as much as you do and b) say all the things to my other half as I should do. But your ‘Letters to my husband’ section was fantastic, really moving and once I pluck up the courage I might ‘borrow’ the idea myself and somehow hope she comes across them!
